I wrote the following tutorial in my personal capacity in April 2025.

• Create a custom subdomain in Amazon Route 53 for a GitLab Pages website

• Manage issues with GitLab Duo Chat: tutorial to demonstrate how to use GitLab AI chat functionality to complete everyday tasks. Written in 2026.
• Use the personal homepage: tutorial to help users get the most out of the features of the GitLab homepage. Written in 2025.
• Make your first Git commit: tutorial written for an objective to improve Git content. Written in 2022. Has had some updates and edits by other writers.
• Move your personal project to group: tutorial to address a gap in content for an upcoming pricing change. The link points to the original merge request, as this content has been reorganised. Written in 2022.

From June 2022 to November 2024, I was in a management role at GitLab, therefore I do not have significant writing samples from that period.

Amazon Web Services

The content I wrote at AWS has been through many rewrites since I left in 2020, and the features I wrote about have been significantly enhanced. Therefore, the following samples demonstrate the breadth of the technical content I wrote about, and not the exact content or writing style.

• VPC peering user guide: entire user guide for the VPC peering feature when it was released. Written in 2014.
• Site-to-Site VPN: In 2020, I merged an administrator guide and a user guide to create a single S2S VPN guide. This merge was motivated by customer feedback that having two guides was confusing.
• Federated authentication for Client VPN: Written in 2020.
