Personal

I wrote the following tutorials in my personal capacity:

• Deploy your Docusaurus site to GitLab Pages (2026)
• Use PostHog to record user sessions on your GitLab Pages site and link your GitLab project (2026)
• Create a custom subdomain in Amazon Route 53 for a GitLab Pages website (2025)

GitLab

At GitLab, I focused on tutorials and getting started content, for example:

• Manage issues with GitLab Duo Chat (2026)
• Use the personal homepage (2025)
• Make your first Git commit (2022)

From June 2022 to November 2024, I was in a management role at GitLab, therefore I do not have significant writing samples from that period.

I authored over 650 merge requests and reviewed over 1,900 merge requests (links require GitLab credentials).

Amazon Web Services

The content I wrote at AWS has been through rewrites and enhancements since I left in 2020. The following samples demonstrate the breadth of the technical content I was responsible for, including user guides, API, and CLI references.

• VPC peering user guide: entire user guide for the VPC peering feature when it was released, including API reference documentation. Written and maintained from 2014 to 2020.
• Site-to-Site VPN: Merged an administrator guide and a user guide to create a single S2S VPN guide, based on customer feedback.
